FAQ | This Might Be My Fault
About the Podcast
What is This Might Be My Fault?
This Might Be My Fault is an investigative storytelling podcast and healing platform created by Jasmine S. Tiller. It examines the messy, human side of healing, where truth, accountability, and courage meet. Through raw, consent-driven conversations, it gives voice to real stories, helping people confront their past without shame and step into the power of their own growth.
What does the name mean?
It’s not about blame, it’s about ownership. The name is a reminder that healing begins with honesty, not shame. It challenges us to examine our patterns, take accountability for our part, and release what was never ours to carry. For some, it’s an awakening; for others, it’s permission to finally stop apologizing for surviving. Every story shared here is handled with care, consent, and respect—because accountability should never come at the cost of your safety or dignity.
Is this a faith-based or spiritual platform?
No specific faith or belief system is required or promoted. This Might Be My Fault is an inclusive storytelling space that welcomes all who seek truth, reflection, and emotional growth. While our conversations may touch on spirituality, they do not represent or endorse any religious doctrine.
All guests and participants are treated with dignity, privacy, and respect. We follow trauma-informed and consent-based interview practices—meaning guests always maintain control over what they share, how they’re represented, and when an interview can be paused, edited, or withdrawn prior to release.
Participation & Guest Inquiries
Can I share my story or be a guest?
Yes. We welcome guest submissions through our Contact or Consultation pages. Every story is reviewed with care to ensure it aligns with our mission and meets our standards for emotional safety, consent, and authenticity.
Guests are asked to complete a brief intake and consent process before recording. All interviews are pre-recorded, and participants have the opportunity to review their episode prior to release. Our goal is to create a safe, transparent storytelling environment where healing, accountability, and truth can coexist.
Are guests paid for their appearance?
Guests are not financially compensated for appearing on This Might Be My Fault. Participation is completely voluntary and based on informed consent. Because our work centers truth-telling and lived experience, we do not offer payment to ensure stories remain authentic and unbiased.
Instead, we provide a trauma-informed interview process, emotional support before and after recording, and full editorial transparency. Guests have the right to review their episode before release and may request edits or withdrawal if needed. Our goal is to create space for honest, ethical storytelling—not sensationalism or exploitation.
Sensitive Content & Safety
Does the podcast include triggering topics?
Yes. Some episodes explore trauma, abuse, and emotional recovery. We approach these stories with sensitivity and informed consent. Each episode includes verbal and written disclaimers, and guests may pause, edit, or withdraw participation at any stage before release. We encourage listeners to prioritize their mental and emotional well-being and to seek support if content feels activating. Our goal is awareness, not re-traumatization..
What if I’m triggered by an episode?
If something feels overwhelming, pause and ground yourself—your safety comes first. Remember, our goal is awareness and reflection, not harm. Take a break, breathe, and return only if and when you feel ready. You may find support through journaling, trusted friends, community spaces, or professional therapy. This Might Be My Fault is not a substitute for medical or mental health care, but a space to inspire healing through understanding
